No Business Like Show Business

Last night the Yarn Queen and King took PBTB (Prince Bertram the Bad) and I out to dinner at Faustina and then to Hale Center Theatre to see "Little Women". Faustina is managed by a friend of mine from High School, Cody. I highly recommend it to those who haven't had the experience. The performance was excellent. I am ashamed to admit, I have never read "Little Women" (don't know how that happened), but I think I might put it on my list. That would be after I have read all of the baby prep books that I bought. "W" was exceptionally active over the course of the night. He either doesn't care for the theatre or was really excited about it. Bonus, we ran into the Duke's parental units at the theatre. We had a nice visit.

I am now less than a week shy of 5 months (aka: 20 weeks, aka: 1/2 way point). I think I am at the, what everybody calls, "fat" stage. No one can exactly tell you are pregnant, but you are definitely not your pre-pregnancy size. I can still fit into my normal jeans, but I would rather hang out in oversized pajamas all day. I am not quite big enough for maternity clothes, but pre-pregnancy clothes are not exactly flattering. Whatever shall a princess do..........?

  1. You're lame. I can't fit into my jeans (OK I CAN- but it is SUPER uncomforatable) I went to Lucy and bought a few more pairs of Yoga Pants. I heart Lucy!

  2. keep on wearing struttin' your stuff in your clothes for as long as you can. Ther will come a point where you just go ugh,I am not cute and nothing works. You are lucky to be in your jeans, mine still work but only standing when I sit I must undo....Over size sweats and jammies are PERFECT to, ecspecially at home.

  3. Hello, Princess! My favorite pants, pregnant or not, are "fisherman pants". I know, I know it doesn't sound flattering, but you'd be surprised! They are cotton, with very wide legs and waist, and two ties at the back. You fold over each side until it's as snug around your waist (or hips or wherever) as you want it, then tie and let the upper portion of waist material fold over in a flattering, and fluttery, manner. My pregnant students and new mommy students always ask about my pants when I'm wearing them. I bought my first pair in Hawaii, but have since found them online. Go to wwwDOTgirlskirtmissionDOTcom to see what you think.

    P.s. Congratulations!
