Over the River and Through the Woods

To Grandmother's house we go. That's right folks, I didn't want to mention it before for fear of a jinx, but we have sold our house and have to be out by the 28th. This is extremely bittersweet.

I am elated because....

1. Who wouldn't be in this horrible housing market?

2. PBTB and I have a tremendous opportunity before us

3. I am so done with thinking our house has been sold since last July!

4. I was not looking forward to hauling another newborn up and down our metal/wood staircase

I am heartbroken because....

1. I have been in love with our house since I stepped foot in it 7 1/2 years ago

2. "W" LOVES home, it kills me that I can't explain things to him

3. We will be living out of boxes, indefinitely

4. Did I mention that I love this house?

Needless to say, I better get busy. I have a million things to do, besides packing. I did get a chance to squeeze in a baby shower this afternoon. Here is the sweater, that I almost didn't want to give away. Why don't I make lots of cute sweaters for my own kids? Oh yeah, they grow out of them before I finish.

On a lighter note, here is "W" experiencing homemade play dough for the first time. There was lots of shrill laughter involved.

For Sale

I've made a decision to sell my camera and upgrade. If anyone is interested in purchasing a like-new DSLR, let me know. It's a Nikon D 40 and I have 2 lens'. It's great for shooting in auto, which is what I do a lot of the time, but is really fun to shoot with in manual. If you are wanting to learn manual, I'm not an expert, but I can get you started. Leave a comment with your e-mail, if interested.

Little Boy Blue

"W" and I are a little blue today, PBTB has to work. I FINALLY got out my new lens, though, hooray for that. So instead of incredible Valentine's Day activities, you get my test shots. The box says AF. I assumed that meant auto focus, but I can't figure out how to make it auto.

So, not only do I have to think about my new knowledge of shooting in manual, I also have to fiddle with the focus. This proves to be extremely difficult, if not impossible, to shoot my child who can't hold still for longer than 2 seconds (and that time frame is very literal).
Quite a few of them have a lot of noise(grain), but I kinda like it. I know the horse pics aren't in focus, but they just capture his personality. He acts silly like that, non-stop.

Scuba Steve

"W" and I have been in swimming lessons all week (PBTB helped on Tuesday, so I took pics, haha you didn't think I was going to let PBTB take pics of me did you? I don't do 7 month pregnant swimsuit photos) He has such a ball when we go, although he has his own agenda, which is not doing what the rest of the class is doing.
This is the poor little guy afterwards. I have to wrap him up and hold him for 15 minutes because his lips are blue. That water is TOO COLD. Does anyone else think so?

{E}uphoria {P}hotography

My friend is starting up a photography business. She is quite talented. She did a photo shoot of "W" yesterday. I think getting your child's photos taken makes you fall in love with them all over again. And, just to give her fair credit, he was not an easy subject. Thanks, Marci! They look awesome!

Goooooo, Bears!

We are not big footbal fans, but we try to act "american" and watch the Superbowl, or at least the last half. (Ok, I wasn't watching, but the boys were.) Since PBTB likes to tell everyone we named "W" after a certain famous running back that played for the Chicago Bears, his Uncle Mike wanted to buy him a Bears football jersey for his first birthday. Since, aforementioned running back jerseys are well over a hundred dollars, he settled on this Brian Urlacher jersey. So, needless to say, I know that the Bears weren't playing, but "W" and I were rooting for them anyway. He looks so cute in it and Grandma found PBTB's cowboy boots from when he was little, "W" wore them proudly. I think that made his whole day.
