(I'll spare you quoting the first hymn that comes to my mind.) I think it's still too early to let myself get excited.

Herrons
I took some family pictures for some adoption hopefuls last Saturday who are updating their profile. I took their pics last year for the same purpose and Ann likes to say the updated pics were the reason they received phone calls immediately after. I say it's just cause they're such a cute family. They adopted Ashley last winter (Ashley and Elli are 4 1/2 months apart). I guess we'll see what this session turns up.

Girls Rule
Another excuse for me to buy baby girl stuff. My new niece. The first girl in the last 5 babies on PBTB's side. Very alert and bright eyed, just like her older sister.

1st Day of Preschool
The hoarder, cute, but super annoying. His backpack was loaded with dinosaurs and he still has to have his arms full. I have to talk him out of at least 10 items before he walks out the door with 4 or 5, an everyday occurrence. Miss Stephanie and the other co-op parents commented on how happy he was and also that he constantly has an armload.
I didn't cry when I dropped him off, but Miss Stephanie told me goodbye as soon as I brought him in. I felt like someone punched me in the chest. I was planning on staying with him for a least a minute, teachers know best. He had a blast. He didn't want to leave when I picked him up and he had already learned stuff about socializing and sharing, so awesome for him.
PS, yes, new haircut, I wanted so badly to keep it long, but the fuzziness was just too much

Yarn Nation
If you thought Yarn Nation was just a stage name, think again. If someone didn't know I used to own a yarn shop, they would think I had some serious stash issues. It was time to tone it down a notch, so we loaded up the "stash" and headed to Seattle for Labor Day weekend to share the love with some PNW knitters. (think mega yard/yarn sale) Let's just say they made it worth the trip. Although still plenty of yarn left if anyone's interested. It was so good to see the Duchess, Duke, and Little Sir, just wish it wasn't strictly business.
