Roll Out The Red Carpet

"W" finally made his royal appearance! "W" was born on Friday, August 24th, 2007 at 4:53 PM. His mommy was in labor for 20 hours and he weighed 7 lb. 2 oz. They told us that he was 19 inches long, but we later measured him again at the Dr. and he is 20 inches long. PBTB and I are very proud and have been enjoying every second of parenthood.
WINNERS
PC Cool is our date winner, Heather is our closest time winner, and since there were so many duplicates on the weight and height, I decided you had to get both right. We will go by the first length even though it was inaccurate. That makes Melanie our length/height winner. Thank you to all who played the "W" guessing game. Honorable Mentions go to Lindsay and the Duchess who guessed the weight right and the Yarn Queen, Haylee, and Donna Lee who guessed 20 inches.

Royal Shower

The shower for the Duchess and JH was on Wednesday. (I have gone from being a day late in my postings to at least 2 days late.) It was a beautiful day, so we were able to have the party outside at the Yarn Queen's palace. There was a wonderful turnout for a baby shower, lots of guests to congratulate the Duchess and the little alien. Thank you to everyone who came!

("W" update: Obviously no baby yet and no sensation or intuition that there might be one soon. We have lost 8, almost 9, in the "W" guessing game so far. Good luck to those still remaining.)

One Week 'Til Crunch Time

I can't believe it! Only 1 week left. My life feels like it's moving too quickly, but also in slow motion. It's the strangest thing. I had my first uncomfortable night last night, hopefully it is just a fluke and not the beginning of this so-called agony that everyone tells me about. Today, I am feeling great as usual, so hopefully just a fluke. I went to the Dr. yesterday, "W"s head is in the correct position (good baby) and extremely low. I am 80% effaced, but just a fingertip dilated. I am not sure what any of that matters. I could still go into labor tonight or not for 2 weeks. Only time will tell. Waiting, waiting, waiting..........

By the way, I think that as of tomorrow we will have our first two non-winners in the "W" guessing game, not to rub it in. I did finally pack my bag for the hospital on Tuesday night. I couldn't make myself do it any sooner, it was too much like giving "W" permission to come early.

Bla, Bla, Bla

I really don't have anything to blog about. I haven't been absent from my crafting duties, I just can't blog them, because they are gifts and I like surprises. There will be lots to blog after the baby shower bash next Wednesday, the 15th. I have been busy making things for JH (aka; alien), see the Duchesses blog. For now, just waiting for "W" to make his grand entrance. I think I am the only pregnant person ever that didn't care if their baby came late. I am not uncomfortable, although am looking forward to a larger variety in my wardrobe. I am sleeping fine and really, "W" is probably better off where he is for now. PBTB can hardly stand the suspense, but is being really patient because he figures that if I am thinking the baby will be late, he probably will be (the power of suggestion). I call the Duchess every other day, just to make her crazy and neurotic (she is in New York and is afraid I am calling with an important announcement every time I call). I believe that she has nothing to worry about. She will be in town on Sunday. Anyhow, here are a few wedding photos from last weekend just to spice up this post a little.
