Things we learned about New York City...the subway is not so disgusting (however the PATH train is), don't look sideways...someone might charge you $5 (you get (over)charged for e.ver.y.thing), if you ask enough (2-3) people...you will find someone who is capable (speaks clear enough english) of helping you, best not to wait until your hungry to look for a sit down restaurant in Manhatten, the Central Park Zoo has no lions (Alex), no zebras (Marty), no hippos (Gloria), and no giraffes (Melman), they do have lemurs and penguins (which are almost as hysterical as in the movie).
Something else we learned in general. All slides should have an endless supply of cardboard pieces hanging around (they make the slide go twice as fast)
