I am selling my Subaru for anyone who is in the market. This is an awesome car, but I don't need something this big anymore now that I don't have my business. Perfect condition inside and out. Awesome for the snow.

Flaming Gorge
We've been to the Uintah Basin for a little vacationing. One night camping, two nights in a Condo. That recipe sounds about right. I am not the outdoorsy type. We wore little "W" right out, camping, boating, and museuming. I have yet to discover something that he is not fond of. We had a lot of fun, but are all very happy to be sleeping in our own quarters now.

A Little Better, Maybe?
I thought that "W" looked like he had oompa loompa syndrome in my last post. The Duchess also thought that I should have cropped a little closer. Although, really, "W" was just a prop. Of course, I couldn't argue that he should be the center of attention in the photo. Here is round 2.
Also, a sample that Anna sent me of our photo shoot from last monday. You know, it's sad really. This hasn't even been photoshopped and it looks 100 times better than mine. The fake eyelashes are a little much maybe? But, it was stylized, and I have to say I am very proud to know that I could do my own hair and make-up if it was life/death.

Playin'
I wanted a fun picture of "W" that I could play around with in Photoshop. I was inspired while dropping letters off at the post office. That is probably about the furthest I get from home and I thought I should take what I could get (kidding). I have no idea what I'm doing. I may have learned a smidgen......maybe not. One thing's for sure. That is a cute little face he gave me.

Walkie-Talkie!
I really think "W" got the hang of walking tonight. He has randomly taken steps here and there, but tonight he did it continuously, 4-5 steps at a time. He was also getting very brave moving from one chest-level object to another. I know I am in for it, but I can't help but be so excited for him. He is so proud of himself, but that's not much different from usual.

Oo-de-lally, Hoo-de-lally, golly what a day!
To finish off the day, yesterday, we were off to the Archery Park. I was in heaven, not a single thing for "W" to break for yards and yards. I think he was too.
See the tiny midget under the picnic bench. He was self entertained without parental interference for a good hour. That's a record.

Arachnaphobia & Lord of the Flies
If you ever get the urge to take the scenic route on the way home from SLC, read this first. Every time we pass the rock out by the Great Salt Lake we see people out there. They are filming a Brad Pitt movie out there, so a lot of people lately. Anyhow, we always wanted to stop by and take pictures and whatnot. So, on the way we drive out to the marina to see all the sailboats. We get out of the car, walk over to the lookout, and then we start seeing them. There are spiderwebs in every cranny visible. Not so bad, but looking a little closer, 2-3 cat spiders in each web. Literally, everywhere. They're like, 2 inches in diameter. So we back up and decide to go over to the dock. Well, apparently no one ever really uses the pedestrian dock. More spiderwebs completely covering the entrance, more spiders. They seem to be getting bigger. I am trying not to lose my cool and scare "W". We did manage to hurry and take a few pictures before they started moving in on us.
As if that wasn't bad enough, we head on over to lookout rock. There are flies everywhere, mostly on the ground, no big deal. Ok, then we notice larger pockets of them. We try to avoid them, keep walking. We are looking out over the water. Looking a little closer, we notice that every time a seagull (or dump chicken, as we like to call them) moves it looks like they are kicking up a pile of dust. But no, it's flies. The entire beach is covered in flies. So much that the beach looks black in most areas, SICK! Needless to say, we jumped back in the car and decided we had our fix. I don't think we will be making another trip out there.
We had to take this photo from inside the car. Everywhere you see black, solid flies.

Happy BD Baby!
PBTB turned 30 on July 9. We went swimming at Deseret Peak. He was born a fish and, along with the rest of his personality, "W" inherited that gene as well. They both had a ball splashing and playing and going down the big slide together, yes, that's right, "W" loves it. I am surprised that they allow infants to go down that thing. It even makes me nervous.
I stole this picture from their website, in case you were wondering who these strange people were. See, the huge slide in the background?
For PBTB's birthday I wanted to take him up to the Utah Olympic Park to ride the bobsled. Lucky for us it was Family Fun Day and we got 1/2 off. So we used the money we saved to watch the Freestyle Aerial show, very impressive. It was funny to watch "W" stare at them intently. I would have thought a 10 month old restless at an event like that. Now if they can just incorporate something like that into sacrament meeting, we'll be set.

How do you spell relief?
Is it bad to include a verse from an acid indigestion jingle in my blog title? Well, regardless, that is how I feel. I am so relieved, my store is finally closed. That chapter of my life has come to a close. It has definitely had it's ups and downs, but I cannot say that I am at all disappointed.

Week in Review
We had a busy week. A few photos of what we've been up to.
Last Sunday we went for a non-traditional Sunday drive. We took the four-wheeler for a drive up Middle Canyon. When you get to the top you can see over the mountain into the Salt Lake Valley. A little smoggy, but breathtaking nonetheless.
"W" kind of likes four-wheelers, or pretty much anything with wheels.
Profile shot of Dad and Demon.
"Momma, what is on my head?"
"W" got a new swing. Anything anti-gravity is a big hit with him.Look at that cute belly button!
And, last, but not least, the 4th. I am a volunteer for a new charter school opening locally. We have been working really hard on spreading the word about the school. Part of that was making a float for the parade. Now, before you start snickering, you have to understand it's a small town parade and we were working with $150 budget. I made this lion out of paper mache'. I was debating on the close-up, he's not so glamorous. Between all of the volunteers we did two parades, two game booths, and one blow up ride. I think we all deserve a pat on the back.
Ohhhhh, and I alsmost forgot. "W" took his first steps on the 4th of July. He was standing up at the couch and just walked away, about 3 steps. Their was so much commotion and kids that I think he did it without thinking. He hasn't done it since, but I'm preparing myself for the challenge.
